Rockin' out!
Tucson Pop Pop plays guitar like Daddy. Soooooo . . . I grabbed some instruments and jammed out with them.

Oh Christmas Tree
We found a Colorado Blue Spruce from Wolfe's on Garfield Road. Basically in Wolfsville . . . We had a lot of fun looking for the perfect tree. The tree we picked was really big. Pop Pop and Dad had a hard time getting it on top of the Jeep!!

Santa Claus comes to Frederick
We went to Everedy Square to see Santa's arrival. There were a lot of people there, but Tucson Pop Pop got me up close!

Happy Halloween
We went to see Mom and Mimi at work on Halloween day. Mom dressed as a cowgirl and Mimi was a jester (or Krusty the Clown as Dad called her). Then we got ready for trick or treating with Harris and his parents Anne and Zayn. We got lots of candy and went to a party at North Frederick Elementary School. I had so much fun. Here's a picture of Mom and with our pumpkin, Daddy as John McCain and some pictures of Harris and I before and after trick or treating.

A new chimney
Pop Pop is building us a new chimney so that we can use our woodstove and furnace at the same time. It is going to be really cool. It will be built into the wall like an alcove and will be safer cause we can put up a gate in front. Here we are digging the footer to help Pop Pop out . . .

Fall fun
October was a busy month. Pop Pop Great (Benson) spent the month in the hospital and we tried to visit every day or so (see me dressed as a Doctor to make him feel better!!). We went to PA for the 5th Chilith Chili Cook-off Party at the Smith's and had a blast with Willow and Baby Quade. We visited 2 pumpkin patches - one with friends Henry and Gracie and the other with Willow. Mom got a promotion to be the first Director of the Office of Environmental Sustainability for Frederick County government and Dad got a job as Stage Technician for Frederick's Weinberg Center for the Arts. There was a lot going on . . .

A day at the National Zoo with Lochen and family
My girlfriend Lochen, from back at NAU in Flagstaff (grad school), was in town this weekend to see her family. Her grandmother has lived in Dupont Circle in DC for years. She arranged to go to the National Zoo with us. We had a great time. Bree and I invited Mimi since she loves the zoo. Lochen had her boys - John (4-1/2) and Eli (20mos), and her sister-in-law Jenny and her husband Mike. Here are some highlights from the day. We miss you Lochen!!

Eating out, the good, the bad, the ugly
We had an interesting time eating out with Bree on this trip. Basically, she didn't want to sit still, eat with utensils, or use manners at all. She loved Rivercity Cafe, where you ate peanuts, threw shells on the floor, wrote on the walls, and hung out on wooden booths. We went there twice knowing she would fit in. Our nice night out at Captain Benjamins was rushed becasue Bree wanted to go back downstairs to the play area where they had a merry go round, pretend boat and dress up area and other toys. She basically ate cake for dinner as this was the only way we could get her to sit down for a moment . . . We ate a lot of pizza and sandwiches!
