An attempt at soccer
We signed Bree up for soccer with the county's parks and rec program. She "tried" but in the end we decided it was not worth the trouble. She was very excited about her soccer ball that came in the Easter basket and her new shorts and tennis shoes . . . but listening to Coach Tom (with his British accent) and running around a gym with kids she didn't know did not go over well. She had the most fun hanging at the water fountain. We got several "I Quit" statements where she plopped on the floor and looked like she was done! We asked her to watch the first class from the sidelines with some participating and even came back for week 2, but left soon after getting there. Oh well. Too much going on right now probably . . . Lucy School and the new baby coming are enough!!

Go Dog Go
Bree's school had a cool theatre production last Friday - college students from NC performed "Go Dog Go." Her friend Payton was there from Ms. Karen's class. Hutch was there too. Mommy had fun with Christine and Lisa and watching the show!

Spring has sprung!
The spring peepers are all around us. We don't remember them being so loud near the house last year. The songbirds are loving our black sunflower seed feeder hanging on the kitchen window. We enjoy the purple finches, yellow finches (just arrived), house wrens and other friends. We've witnessed a juvenile barred owl that fell from his nest at Mimi and Pop Pops and Bree and Jason stirred up a turkey (accidentally) that was roosting along our road on a recent walk. My parents also saw a baby kit (of the fox variety) with his mom coming from their neighbors horse shed. It has been a nature-filled spring this year. Not to mention the ducklings . . . aren't they cute?!
We're patiently awaiting our own springtime arrival . . . Baby Kit. When will he arrive? We can't wait to meet him.
