Making grape jelly

Mommy had a helper making grape jelly Friday night. We picked Concord grapes from our neighbors house. Bree squished the grapes up. Mommy boiled them down and will jar them tonight.

A visit with old (and new) friends

Meredith (Schaffran) Ferguson was here with her husband Josh (another at home dad) and Ella (2 yr) and Evie (6 mos) for the night/day. The girls enjoyed each others toys and company. Bree was intrigued by the older and equally independent/Type A Ella. In fact, Bree was pretty low key and quiet, trying to figure out where she fit in. She got pushed around a little bit, but LOVED Ella and was very sad when she had to go bye-bye. Bree enjoyed giving Evie love pats. She would enjoy a baby of her own to play with I'm sure. The adults had a great time reminiscing and sharing stories about the wacked out people that are from Frederick. Somehow, we turned out ok - but jeez, some of the people we know have a whole lot of drama in their lives and we are happy to not be involved anymore!!

Big Girl Bed

Well, Bree has moved to a twin bed. She climbed on her changing table to switch her lights on and off and Daddy has to take the changer/crib combo a part and bring in the twin. So, now she has a big girl bed. She has been sleeping well and seems to love her new room.

Beep Beep, Honk, Honk

I am learning to drive. Today I drove three cars at Chuck E Cheese with Mom and Dad. Here are some of my recent experiences behind the wheel.

The Great Frederick Fair

Bree had the pleasure of attending opening day of the Great Frederick Fair with her grandparents. They had a blast while Mommy & Daddy got haircuts and went to a Partner Yoga class. We were prettier and more Zen-ed out when Bree was reunited with us later that night.

Brookside Gardens

Mimi and Pop Pop Benson brought me to Brookside Gardens to see the flowers and butterflies. It was so cool when they landed on Mimi and I. I love flowers. Purple is one of my favorite words to say. It's kind of like popsicle, my favorite food. Ha ha I know popsicles aren't food, silly!

Sprinkler time

Check me out having fun in the yard yesterday. No laboring for me on Labor Day. Life is awesome!!

Gymnastics class . . .

Bree is in a Fall '07 gymnastics class with Dad. She is tumbling, rolling and pulling herself up every where she goes. Note the 9/21 entry about the new bed. We think this class has given her the confidence to climb up and switch her lights on and off.

Renassaince Festival

We had another fun year at the MD Renn Fest. Bree's highlights were eating red italian ice and getting her hand painted.
